This is a fine softcover copy with no wear at all. Completely clean. Text in English. This catalog was prepared to accompany the exhibition at the Fralin Museum from August 13, 2013 ti February 2, 2014. After that the exhibition went to the Art Institute in Chicago in the spring of 2014. …milie Charmy (1878- 1974) was an artist in France's early avant-garde. She worked closely with Fauve artists like Henri Matisse, and was active in exhibiting her artworks in Paris, particularly with Berthe Weill. In the 1920's she became friends with Colette, who wrote introductions to several exhibitions with Emilie Charmy's paintings. Essays by Sarah Betzer and Rita Felski. Illustrated mostly in color with about 40 full-page plates and many smaller figures in the text. Bibliography. 12" high X 10" wide, 119 pages. Large heavy book, foreign shipping will be extra.
