This is a fine softcover copy with no wear at all. Completely clean. This catalog was prepared to accompany the exhibition at the Ryan Lee Gallery in New York from July 10 to September 9, 2023. Essay by Michel Valerie Ronnick. Emma Amos (1937- 2020) was an African American artist, activist, and educator. In the 1960's Hale Woodruff introduced Amos to Romare Bearden and the other members of the African American artists group Spiral. She became Spiral's first female member. Illustrated mostly in color + some vintage black & white photographs of the artist, her family, colleagues, etc. 11" high X 8" wide, 73 pages.
