A very clean very tight copy with unmarked olive green boards, gilt embossing to front, clear gilt lettering to spine, gilt top of page edges, minor rubbing to spine ends and no bumping to corners. Fore and lower page edges untrimmed and dusty. 332pp. Mazzini can be considered as one of the founders of modern Italy. Includes his writings on Faith, Byron, Dante, Goethe, Lamennais, Carlyle and more. Biographical account of the life of Mazzini by William Clarke over twenty-two pages. Undated ca 1887.
