Original printed wrappers. = Written by the Portuguese botanist and director of the botanical gardens in Coimbra, Julio Augusto Henriques (1838-1928). The Serra de Estrella is a mountainous area located between Lisbon and Porto. The author records 716 plants from this region and recognized seven botanical regions, shown on the map. Published on behalf of the Sociedade de Geographia de Lisboa. Uncut. Wrappers a bit soiled and torn at spine ends; small stamp on front wrapper, half-title and title; otherwise a very good, clean copy. Stafleu and Cowan, 2651.
