The dust jacket is a two sided illustrated history of the career of Geraldo de Barros (1923- 1998) an important modernist artist in Brazil working as a painter, photographer and designer. He was a leader of the concrete art movement in Brazil, also co-founding Grupo Ruptura. Text in Portuguese with English translations at the end. Edited by Geraldo de Barros' daughter, Fabiano de Barros with essays by Andres Burbano, Gabriele Oropallo, and Michel Favre. Also four interviews with people familiar with the artist. Illustrated in color and black & white with many vintage photographs. Includes graphic design and furniture. 11" square, 362 pages. Large heavy book, foreign shipping will be extra.
