This is an about very good hardcover copy with a very good gold dust wrapper and also an opaque printed vellum wrapper, the vellum has a few chips at the corner of the lower edge. Completely clean. This catalog was prepared to accompany the exhibition which premiered in Milan in November 1998 then traveled to New York Sperone Westwater from January 23 to February 13, 1999. Text in Italian and English. The exhibition brought together gold paintings by Lucio Fontana with a selection of gold background paintings from Italy's 14th and 15th centuries.
