About the book:- The following studies are designed to canvas the possibility of a scientific characterological utilization of hand writing. Their main purpose is one of orientation, preliminary to an attempt to use graphic activity in tests of temperamental or character traits, tests which are now in process of standardization. The discussion falls into two parts. Part I consists mainly of a critical comparison of graphological contentions and the outcome of modern scientific investigations of handwriting. Part II reports a number of experimental studies, designed largely to try out various methods of approach. Free use is made of results from other experimental investigations by myself which have been previously reported. The Graphological study of the Handwriting of psychologists was made possible through the generous assistance of those psychologists who furnished me with the material necessary for a characterological rating.
