With three engraved frontispieces and various engraved portrait plates throughout. 8vo, bound in the publisher's original brown cloth bindings, blocked elaborately in blind on the covers and spines, gilt lettering and gilt emblems to the spine panels. xxxiii, 618; xvii, 610; xiv, 476, 6 ads, pp. A set with evidence of wear to the cloth of the spine panels and to the outer hinges, the inner hinges all strong and unbroken, otherwise well preserved throughout, corners in quite good order, the text-block in good order, clean and crisp. An honest set, very usable and very readable.
