México [City], Instituto Geológico de México, 1906. In two parts (text, atlas). Large 4to (33.2 x 23.1 cm). 216 pp., folding table; 43 heliogravure plates with explanatory text leaves. Uniform printed wrappers. = An excellent, well-illustrated monograph by the Swiss - later Mexican geologist and palaeontologist Carl [Carlos] Emanuel Burckhardt (1869-1935). Another book dealer claims presence of 63 instead of 43 plates, obviously misreading 'LXIII for XLIII. 'This copy is complete. The plates part with the spine broken (the plates are too heavy for the weak binding). Clean, unmarked, in very good condition. In all a very good copy.
