First and only edition of this charming mid-19th century children's book with EIGHT FULL-PAGE HAND-COLORED LITHOGRAPHS. Desesserts usually issued both colored and uncolored copies of each title, the former being far rarer. 4to. Bound in contemporary quarter morocco and pebbled cloth, spine beautifully gilt. All edges gilt. Light wear to corners of binding. Internally clean and bright.
