Amsterdam, Gijsbert Hanekroot, 1973. Original print (40.0 x 30.0 cm; visible size 39.0 x 29.0 cm) of Leonard Cohen wearing a trench coat, in Amsterdam. In a white cardboard frame (50.0 x 40.0 cm). = A fine, large b/w portrait of the Canadian singer-songwriter, composer and poet, Leonard Norman Cohen (1934-2016) while on tour in Amsterdam in 1972. The photographer, Gijsbert Hanekroot (b. 1945) is renowned for his portraits and photo series of musicians. It is difficult to assess the exact size of the photograph, due to its being framed. Preserved in a plastic sleeve with a label printed "Newsphoto", and providing some background information on Cohen. An identical label pasted on the rear board. A very good copy.
