From a total edition of 422 numbered copies, this is ONE OF ONLY 25 COPIES PRINTED IN LARGE FORMAT WITH THE ILLUSTRATIONS HAND-COLORED BY THE AUTHOR / ARTIST. These copies were printed for the bookseller Achille Coiffard, and this copy has, on an unprinted preliminary page, A FULL-PAGE ORIGINAL WATERCOLOR BY THE AUTHOR / ARTIST, SIGNED, DATED (June, 1942), AND INSCRIBED TO COIFFARD. Some leaves printed on fine Van Gelder laid paper, others on fine Van Gelder wove paper(!). 4to. Uncut. Original printed wraps, with an illustration (colored by the artist, of course). Light wear to wraps. Occasional spots of foxing, else internally FINE AND BRIGHT.
