This is a fine softcover copy with no wear at all. Completely clean. Text in Japanese. One page English essay titled 'Matsumoto Ichiyo: Kyoto-style Yamato-e Painter'. Also list of plates in English with titles, date, subject, size, year, provenance. Matsumoto Ichiyo (1893- 1952) was born in Kyoto during the Meiji Period and is most well known for reviving the Yamoto-e style. Illustrated in color with 79 plates + additional images in black & white. 4 pages with color reproductions of 'chops'? 11" high X 8" wide, 156 pages.
