This is a very good hardcover set complete in five volumes. They are all bound uniformly in three quarters leather and marbled paper boards. The dark green leather covers have spines ruled and titled in gilt, with five raised bands, and are a little sunned to a lighter green. All page edges and endpapers marbled. Bottom edges of the boards rubbed. This set is a later printing with prefaces from the first and second editions, and the 1873 preface to a new edition. Very clean inside and out. Illustrated throughout with black & white engravings. All volumes 8" high X 5" wide. Volume 1, 429 pages, volume 2, 230, volume 3, 341 pages, volume 4, 403 pages, volume 5, 390 pages. A handsome dark green leather set. Heavy books, foreign shipping will be extra. This set will be securely wrapped and packed in a sturdy box and shipped with tracking.
