Speckled edges. = Uncommon, early local French volcanological study of the Puy-de-Dôme by the geologist and botanist (Director of the Jardin Botanique of Clermond) l'abbé Paul-François Lacoste (1755-1826). Ward and Carozzi give a wrong number of text pages (196 pp. only). The binding is 19th-century, with some later repairs, including new endpapers. Dampstain to the last few leaves. In all a good, complete copy. Ward and Carozzi, 1305.
