Disbound. = A detailed and well-illustrated study (especially the large map of the island is of importance), dealing with the general topography, geological structure, glacial phenomena, marine erosion and much more. Written by the great Scottish geologist, James Murdoch Geikie (1839-1915), writer of The Great Ice Age (1874), The Antiquity of Man in Europe (1914) and other influential works on geology and palaeontology. Uncut. Disbound from the Society's Transactions with the plates and text separated; plates with some small marginal spotting; the map only a bit spotted at the lower edge; otherwise very good, clean.
