Original manuscript 'berat' in diwanî Ottoman Turkish script for promoted rank of Mehmed Emin Efendi, son of Ahmed Nuri of Istanbul who was deputy reserve officer in the wireless telegraph to the rank 'lieutenant' durin WW 1 in 1916. 41x19,5 cm. 1 p. Four lines with elqab and sealed by Enver Pasha when he was Minister of War during the first World War in 1916. Written in very calligraphic diwanî style. Sealed in Dersaadet, Ministry of War, as 'Harbiye Nâziri Enver' (i.e. Enver, Minister of War). Enver Pasha was an important Ottoman general and commander in chief, a hero of the Young Turk Revolution of 1908, and a leading member of the Ottoman government from 1913 to 1918. He played a key role in the Ottoman entry into World War I on the side of Germany, and, after the Ottoman defeat in 1918, he attempted to organize the Turkic peoples of Central Asia against the Soviets.
