First edition of this play about the sculptor Peter Vischer, with an appendix containing "several historical and art-historical notes". The protagonists (including Hans Sachs, Peter Vischer, Hermann Vischer and Carl Brentano) are pictured in attractive costumes. - First page of text stamped "Leihbibliothek C. M. Kettner Stuttgart". Slight paper defect to p. 47f. (some loss to text). Occasional slight browning. Early 20th-c. bookplate on front pastedown; binding bumped at spine-ends and hinges.
