First English edition, 8vo, ([16], 443, [29]pp., small hole to title page, effecting one word but without loss of sense, some light soiling and staining to text, contemporary panelled calf, re-back, endpaper re-newed, spine label lettered in gilt. First published in Latin in 1702, this book of medical recipes revealed previously guarded medical formulas.
