M. Schleiden on the title page. Armorial bookplate "Patior ut potiar" of William Spottiswoode mounted on front pastedown. William Spottiswoode (1825-1883) was an English mathematician, physicist and partner in the printing and publishing firm Eyre & Spottiswoode.
