Philadelphia, PA, The Academy of Natural Sciences of Philadelphia, 1881-1882. In three parts. 8vo (25.0 x 15.4 cm). 528 [numbered 9-536], [iii] pp.; 20 lithographed plates and several text figures. Uniform printed wrapppers. = The ANSP Proceedings were the foremost zoological journal in the U.S.A., being especially strong in Mollusca. This mainly due to Henry Pilsbry, the most prolific malacological writer ever, and his many predecessors, co-workers, and students. Malacological authors in this volume include Arango, Heilprin, Hemphill, and Stearns. Uncut. Wrappers may be creased and chipped at edges. Lacks real wrapper of second part. A good, complete volume. Rare.
