Two volumes bound in one. One of the volumes is the first edition of Semiramis, perhaps Crebillon's most important play. Rothschild II, 1299. The other volume is a collection of four of Crebillon's plays, with continuous pagination. Thick 8vo. Bound in contemporary mottled calf, spine gilt, morocco spine label. An unusually fine copy, with only minimal rubbing to joints. Internally bright and fine. A very attractive book.
