8vo., First Edition, with frontispiece (original tissue guard present), 20 plates and numerous wood-engraved head- and tail-pieces by A. S. Hartwick, preliminaries very lightly spotted, frontispiece guard moderately spotted and offset to title, small neat signature on front free endpaper; original pictorial blue cloth gilt, fife and drummer boys from plate facing p.58 elaborately blocked in gilt on upper board, pictorial back gilt, all edges gilt, a very bright, crisp, clean copy.
