Although the entire edition (3500 copies) is illustrated with reproductions of line drawings by Edy Legrand, ONLY LARGE-PAPER COPIES INCLUDE THE SEVEN ORIGINAL HORS-TEXTE ETCHINGS. This copy is boldly SIGNED BY MONTHERLANT on the half-title. 8vo. Publisher's wraps. Uncut. A bit of faint spotting, else FINE AND BRIGHT. Edy Legrand was one of the great book artists of the 20th century.
