Edizione: inscribed by the famous 'life' photographer to long-time 'life' publisher and editor chuck whittingham. this very finely produced italian publication was produced for the programma di iniziative culturali of the olivetti company. it contains a great many of the war era photographs for which phillips is most famous.<br> the inscription is especially warm and pleasant; "for chuck wittingham a good friend and a great publisher - with all best wishes for a merry xmas and wonderful new year- john phillips 86."
