London, British Ornithological Union, 1922. 8vo. xl, 791 pp.; eight plates (one coloured). Original red embossed cloth with gilt title on the spine, and gilt vignette on the front board. Top edge gilt. Original wrappers preserved and bound in at the back. = A volume from one of the longest running and most influential ornithological magazines. Especially the earlier years, with fine plates by Keulemans, Grönvold and others, are very uncommon and sought-after. Disbound. Spine slightly sunned, as usual. Small hole in spine and some slight wear to top and bottom edge of the spine.
