Original red embossed cloth with gilt title on the spine, and gilt vignette on the front board. = A volume from one of the longest running and most influential ornithological magazines. Especially the earlier years, with fine plates by Keulemans, Grönvold and others, are very uncommon and sought-after. Ex-libris of S. Dillon Ripley 2nd, pasted in on verso front board. Original printed front-wrapper to issue one preserved and bound in at the front. Spine has suffered a bit.
