THIS COPY WAS PRESENTED TO PROFESSOR JACK MORPURGO 'WITH GRATITUDE FOR MANY YEARS OF FRIENDSHIP'. Professor Jack Morpurgo (1918-2000) was Director-General of the National Book League and later Professor of American Literature at Leeds University. His many works include several on Anglo-American military history and an acclaimed biography of fellow Old Blue Barnes Wallis. Extremely scarce.
