Alcuni esemplari paiono avere un ritratto dell'autore in antiporta al primo volume che nella presente copia non figura. Ogni dramma si apre con un occhietto e ha numerazione propria. Uniformemente rilegati in piena pelle coeva con titoli su tassello e filetti in oro ai dorsi, tagli gialli (qualche lieve spellatura, cerniere un po' consunte, dorso dell'ultimo volume fessurato). Trascurabili aloni limitati al margine esterno di poche carte, sporadiche fioriture, segno di tarlo di pochi mm. al margine esterno delle ultime carte del settimo volume. Nel complesso buon esemplare.
Edizione non ufficiale di tutte le opere teatrali di W. Shakespeare per le cure del critico letterario Edmond Malone (1741-1812), che tuttavia disconobbe questa edizione: “Malone disclaimed any connection with, or responsibility for, this edition” (Folger, Printed books, vol. 23, p. 359). L'edizione ufficiale curata da Malone apparve sempre nel 1790 in 10 volumi, stampata da H. Baldwin for J. Rivington and Sons, ecc.
