With a beautiful and elaborately gilt-decorated chromo-lithographic vignette title-page, 4 engraved plates by Rouarque 1 double-page map, and many smaller engravings throughout. 8vo, publisher's best binding of original dark blue-black grained cloth, richly lettered and decorated in gilt an all-over pattern to the covers and spine with elaborate vignettes, borders and embellishments including a beautiful natural scene surrounded by gilt embellished ornaments, signed Haarhaus, all edges gilt [iv], 620 pp. A very beautiful copy, the cloth immaculate, gilt sparkling, binding strong and tight. Some minor foxing to map and plates.
