First (only) edition, in German. Original illustrated editorial wrappers, stapled, with sticker at the foot (see photo), cover reinforced with tape on margins, library stamps on title, no other stamps or marks noted inside, overall a fair-to-good copy. A very scarce early book on wireless television, also covering the transmission of pictures and meteorological maps, presenting the technical basics of some of the German systems initially developed, profusely illustrated by diagrams and b/w photos. Particularly interesting is the description of the television system patented by Prof. Max Dieckmann in 1924 which appears to be an early attempt of ‘electronic’ television. Gustav Eichhorn was a prominent German technical pioneer of wireless telegraphy and had been associated with the Telefunken company.
