Original printed wrappers. = Important paper with descriptions and illustrations of new and poorly known species, mainly from mesozoic and older Tertiary strata. Published in the academy's Denkschriften, but this is the rare offprint, with its own printed wrappers. August Emanual [Ritter von] Reuss (1811-1873) was an Austrian palaeontologist who is best known from his works on Cretaceous fossil invertebrates. This forms a major part. Uncut. Binding weak, wrapper edges chipped and rayed; rear wrapper missing. Slightly foxed, but less so than usual, and in all a much better than average copy. Nissen ZBI, 3375.
