No marks or inscriptions. A very clean very tight copy with bright unmarked boards, minor traces of foxing to top of page edges and no bumping to corners. Dust jacket not price clipped or marked or torn or creased with nicks to top of spine and sunning to front. 175pp. The story of a friendship that lasted from 1938 to 1952. One person was a pessimistic intellectual and musician. The other was Alan Moorehead, an unsophisticated Australian who wrote The White Nile, The Blue Nile and Gallipoli amonst other works.
