Second Edition, improved and enlarged, [vi],116,[1, advert & errata]pp., large paper, 6 folding engraved plates, contemporary ownership signatures to head of title, orig. boards (paper peeling), lacks spine but covers holding, uncut. First published in 1801 and fast became the standard work on the subject. Of this greatly enlarged second edition, an additional two engraved plates were added. It was deemed that this book should be printed on large paper so it was able to accommodate large format platesóthis is noted in the advertisement following the title page.
