8vo., First Edition thus, with portrait frontispiece, plates and endpaper maps; red cloth, gilt back, a very good, bright, clean copy in unclipped dustwrapper, the latter chipped with minor loss at extremities. Combines the author's two fine studies 'Prelude to Dunkirk' and 'The Fall of France' (first published in 1954) in a single volume. The dustwrapper reproduces Cundall's well-known painting of 'Dunkirk' in wrap-around format. Enser, p.170.
