Trampe, Halle, 1757-1764. Folio-size loose nature printing (36.4 x 22.6 cm). Well preserved nature printing with additional hand-colouring and printed caption. = A rare, early example of nature printing. This print in good condition. The plant shown is the French lavender, renowned for its beautiful purple colour and fine scent. Some light toning, very occasional light spotting apart from a larger spot at upper left hand section. Top edge a bit frayed, toned, creased and wrinkled. Five tiny holes on left hand side. Some markings on top and right edge. No dents or tears present.
