Trampe, Halle, 1757-1764. Folio-size loose nature printing (35.5 x 21.5 cm). Well preserved nature printing with additional hand-colouring and printed caption. = A rare, early example of nature printing. This print in very good condition. Phylica buxifolia is a South African plant. Some very occasional spotting apart from a larger spot in the lower right margin, away from the printed surface. Top and left edges a bit wrinkled. Five tiny holes on left hand side. No dents or tears present. Fischer Zweihundert Jahre Naturselbstdruck, 7; Stafleu and Cowan, 3763.
