No marks or inscriptions. No creasing to covers or to spine. A very clean very tight copy with bright unmarked boards, very slight tanning to page edges and no bumping to corners. Dust jacket not price clipped or marked or torn with very slight creasing to upper edge and rear lower corner, fading to spine and slight loss of the transparent laminate surface at the lower front spine corner. 215pp. The full story of the London Armoury's five years of existence from 1852 to 1857, chronicling Sam Colt's frustrations and triumphs and detailing the revolvers he produced. With more than 300 photographs showing every type of gun style to emerge from those years plus serial numbers and other details invaluable to collectors. Scarce in the UK.
