Paris, H. Agasse, 1804. Large 4to (25.2 x 20.3 cm). 768 pp. Later half buckram over 19th century marbled boards with leather corners. Spine with gilt title. Speckled edges. = The very rare 6th volume of the rare history section of the famous 'Encyclopédie', written by the Fench historian Gabriel-Henri Gaillard (1726-1806). It was published much later than the first five volumes (1784-1794). It contains the all-important Chronologie section, with many chronologies, and errata. Corners worn; decommission stamp on font free endpaper recto; otherwise a very good set.
