Descripción
Inscription in French to front end paper. No other marks. No creasing to covers or to spine. A very clean very tight copy with bright unmarked boards and no bumping to corners. The boards are spectacular, being medium blue buckram with very clear gold and black debossing. The spine ends are very slightly rubbed but otherwise the original boards are outwardly almost perfect. All page edges very lightly foxed gilt. End papers foxed and a little foxing to a few other pages. 43 +352pp. The classic stories plus a biography of Swift by John Francis Waller on the first forty-three pages. Illustrations to most pages by T. Morten. Undated with the inscription dated 1881.
