8vo., First Edition, with frontispiece (original tissue guard present), 8 plates on 3 and very numerous illustrations in the text, neat contemporary signature on front free endpaper; original red cloth, gilt back, a remarkably bright, clean copy. Kaye's classic text has its origin in a course of Cantor Lectures delivered before the RSA in 1926. Kaye was then Superintendent of the Physics Department at the National Physical Laboratory. EXTREMELY SCARCE, ESPECIALLY IN THIS CONDITION.
