8vo., with frontispiece, numerous illustrations (many full-page) in the text and folding map coloured in outline, small neat signature on front free endpaper, small stain on half-title; original series binding of dark blue cloth, upper board and backstrip lettered in gilt, blue top, one corner bruised, lower hinge cracked (but binding entirely sound), else a very good, bright, clean copy.
