Various places and publishers, 1866-1949. In three volumes. 8vo (21.7 x 13.5 cm cm). About 750 pp., seven plates, numerous text figures. Uniform orange-brown cloth; spines with brown morocco labels with gilt title. Marbled endpapers. = A large collection of works on bees, wasps, and ants, by several authors such as M. Thomas, Thompson, Lucas, Séguy, Giraud, Ferrière, Piel, Janet, Ferton, Benoist, Aptel, Roth and others, and published in such journals as Ann. Soc. Ent. de France, Actes Soc. Linn. de Bordeaux, Bull. and Ann. Soc. Ent. de Belgique, etc. One volume has the spine title "Faune de France et d'Afrique du Nord", the other two "[Notes sur les] Moeurs et l'instinct des hymenoptères". One volume is slightly larger at 23.2 x 15.1 cm. Nicely bound.
