About the Book: - 'The description of the monuments mentioned in this volume are situated in the city and suburbs of Hyderabad. The author has very meticulously classified the monuments that he describes. At the start of each description he notifies the reader of (i) the name (ii) the location (iii) the owner (whether govt. or privately owned (iv) class (good condition, decaying condition, dilapidated condition) (v) the date (vi) inscription to be found (which, if present, is given in the Persian script and along with its translation and finally notes and a general description. The monuments are from the period 1578-1817 and cover the Qutab Shai dynasty. There are 76 monuments that are described accompanied by 58 illustrations of notable people, inscriptions and the monuments.
