Boards with light wear to extremities. Slight fading and discoloration, especially to spine. A bit of bumping to corners. Chipping to spine ends. Former owner's name on front free endpaper. First and last few pages browned. Hinges professionally repaired with Japon paper; Top edge gilt. Red boards with green and orange design of flowers and a vase. This first edition is quite rare. The original printrun was only 2,000 copies. 80 tissue guarded color illustrations from watercolors by Augustine Fitzgerald. Part of the 20 Shilling series.
