Spine with gilt title. . = An important contribution to the geodesy of Switzerland, including a large part of the Alps and Jura mountains. This is the complete first volume, with nine livraisons, and the tenth livraison, apparently forming part of a second volume, and being a complete Catalogue des Hauteurs Suisse, Exécutée par la Commission Géodésique Fédérale. All with their own title pages, and a general volume title and half-title. Private owner's stamp of the Dutch surveyor and mathematician Charles Mathieu Schols (1849-1897) on volume title, some light, occasional spotting but generally clean. A very good copy.
