8vo., First UK Edition, with a frontispiece, 22 plates of photographs on 14, and numerous historiated initials and a full-page map in the text, free endpapers browned, neat contemporary inscription on front free endpaper; original orange pictorial cloth, upper board and backstrip blocked and lettered in white and black, uncut, a remarkably bright, firm copy. Buck's vividly-written account of animal collecting in Asia was first published in New York in 1936. The UK edition is scarce, especially in this condition.
