This is a very good hardcover copy in a very good dust jacket with just light wear. Completely clean inside and out. Text mainly in Russian with 5 page English summary and captions to plates. Pavel Fedotov (1815- 1852) was a Russian painter credited with starting the movement in 19th century Russian painting called 'Critical Realism'. He was also a master of social satire and did many watercolors and drawings which have been compared to Hogarth. Bibliography. List of plates. Text is illustrated in color and monochrome, and is followed by 67 superb full-page color plates. 12" high X 9" wide, 175 pages.
