Spine with gilt title. = Written by the Bohemian-born Austrian phycologist Anton Hansgirg (1854-1917). ADDED: an offprint by this same author, titled Schlusswort zu meiner Arbeit "Ueber den Polymorphismus der Algen" (1903). Former owner's name handwritten on the front free endpaper recto; several pencil notes in the margin of two plate, single spot in the lower outer corner of three plates, otherwise a very good, well-bound copy.
