No marks or inscriptions. A very clean very tight copy with bright unmarked gilt embossed light blue cloth boards, sunned centre of spine and bumping to lower corners. Dusty dust jacket not price clipped with some loss to centre of spine, spine ends and lower corners. Forty-eight plates plus 71pp. Biography of the British artist born in 1756, a caricaturist, satirist and a genius who painted the mingled beauty of the British. Limited Edition no 141 of 500 copies. Scarce in dust jacket.
